Is anime North in the books for 2005?

It's very hard to tell.

Rooms cost $115 dollars a night, but that is at the double tree. A very nice hotel. And that's Convention Rates!
The Park plaza is cheaper by six whole dollars. I'd save 12 dollars on a hotel to stay in maybe not as a hotel.
So $230 for the hotel alone.

Now there is Con admission. $45 Canadian
So I'm up to $275

I'm sure as hell not going to be able to go to an anime con and NOT spend money.
Throw another $150-$200 on there. Now My grand Total is:
$475.

I can save $10 by pre-registering.
Now I'm down to $465. This is if I were to go it alone. But you know I'm not.

Now, is when I start bringing friends into the picture.
If 3 other people wanted to share a room, perhaps even another couple (If I were to bring Jenn)
Then the price per night is $149 a night. I'm not sure if that is per person or not, but if it isn't then it would only cost each couple $149
So now we have a couples total of $149.
Or let's say Myself and 3 friends get together: at $149/night divided by 4 = 37.50 a night. (once again assuming that it's $149/night, not $149/person)
So for myself and 3 frinds we have a total hotel cost of $75/ 2 nights (Fri/Sat)

Now let us throw in the con Admission
Quad: $110 pre-registered, $120 Late Registered/at the door.
Couples: $219 pre-registered, $229 Late registered/at the door.

I forgot food. You can go to restaurants. or you can go to Fast food.
I'd personally set aside 15-20 dollars a day for lunch and supper a day.

Let's assume we pre-registered:
Quad: $150
Couples: $299 each couple.

Time for spending money!
Assuming 150 dollars per person.
Quad: $300/person
Couples: $599/couple. or of course $300 approx. per partner.

That being said and done, I feel much better about this now. Maybe I can afford it! But there is tuiton I'd have to pay next term, so let's hope I can find a job that pays really well so I can take that time off!

  • :( Until I get a job, there will be no neat trips in my future. I barely have enough for food on a daily basis, let alone lodging and admission fees.
